India and New Zealand faced off in the second match of the T20I series at the Mount Maunganui stadium. 

New Zealand won the toss and invited India to bat first. India posted a commendable total of 191 runs on the board in their 20 overs, courtesy of a brilliant knock played by Suryakumar Yadav. He scored 111 runs off 51 deliveries and remained unbeaten till the end of the innings. 

New Zealand failed to gather enough momentum during the chase. Although, Skipper Kane Williamson scored 61 runs off 52 balls, it was not enough to take them across the line. The ultimately managed to score just 126 runs in their 20 overs losing the match by 65 runs.
