It was a one-sided dominant victory by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) when they defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by a massive margin of 49 runs after mind-blowing shows with the bat from Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube took them to 235. In the end, the visitors emerged victorious as they restricted the home side to just 186.

During the post-match presentation, CSK's skipper and Indian legend MS Dhoni was impressed by the support he received in this game at Eden Gardens where more Super Kings' fans were present on the ground than KKR's supporters.

Dhoni while thanking everyone present said maybe they are here to bid him goodbye by wearing the yellow jersey despite being the opposition's fans.

Furthermore, MS made it clear that if a player is not available due to an injury then you can't do anything apart from trusting the youngsters to deliver for you in every game.

"I would just say thanks for the support. You know, they came in big numbers. Usually, they would come dressed in KKR jersey colour. Maybe to give me a farewell they have come in numbers wearing yellow jerseys. It's good to see such support. They will come wearing their team jerseys in the upcoming games. However, thanks crowd for the support.

"We have a simple funda, if a player is injured then he can't do anything. You have to keep motivating the youngsters as they play each game. We have been fortunate to see all the players perform."

MS Dhoni's CSK will next go head-to-head against Rajasthan Royals at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on 27th of April.
