On Sunday, August 10, Australia locked horns against South Africa in the first of a three-match T20I series. The Marrara Oval hosted the curtain-raiser, and it is the first time that the visitors are playing on this ground.

Meanwhile, Aiden Markram won the toss and asked Australia to bat first at their home conditions. The decision didn't turn out as expected because the Kangaroos lost three wickets for just thirty runs on the board. 

David Toys With Rabada On The 1st Ball

Tim David walked to bat in a crucial situation, and the fans expected him to play an anchor's role as he was facing Kagiso Rabada. Even the commentator thought that David was going to respect the bowler.

However, contrary to everyone's belief, the RCB star danced down the track on the first ball he faced in the match and whacked Rabada for a massive six that went straight over Kagiso's head. The entire stadium erupted after David's shot as they were stunned by the approach. 

Tim David Rescues Australia From  Disaster

David stitched a crucial fourty-runs stand for the fourth wicket alongside Cameron Green. Further, the right-handed batter continued his explosive batting and whacked bowlers across the park.

Besides the shot to Rabada, David also hogged the headlines for his maximum off Senuran Muthusamy as the ball landed outside the stadium. 

At the time of writing this article, Australia are in a better position and put 149/7 on the board after 125 overs. Meanwhile, Tim David has completed his fifty as he is batting on 68 (38), which includes three fours and seven sixes. The right-handed batter is also eyeing a century to his name as
