Bangladesh vs Pakistan - (source: @Johns/X.com)
On Sunday, July 20, Bangladesh locked horns against Pakistan in the first T20I of the three-match series. The Tigers are roaring as they have restricted the visitors to just 110 runs. The hosts won the toss and asked the Salman Ali Agha-led side to bat first.
Pakistan got off to the worst possible start as the Men in Green lost six wickets for just 70 runs on the board. Khushdil Shah and Abbas Afridi looked to bring the innings back on track, but fell in front of Taskin Ahmed's masterclass as the right-arm seamer took two wickets in the last over of the first innings to pick three for the night.
Team Hat-trick For Bangladesh
Further, the Tigers also hogged the limelight as they completed a team hat-trick in the last over of the innings. Pakistan were 110/7 till the 19th over, and the batters looked to pose a respectable total on the board.
However, on the first ball of the over, Taskin got rid of Faheen Ashraf, after the latter gave a simple catch at third man in search of a big hit. On the following delivery, Salman Mirza, who is making his debut, failed to open his account as he fell short of the crease and returned to the pavilion following a run-out. Notably, it was the third run-out of the night for Pakistan.
On the third ball, Abbas Afridi, who was the one, Salman sacrificed his wicket to get Afridi on strike, failed to make any impact and found a top-edge that went straight to the keeper-batter Litton Das.
Pakistan Tumble For Lowest T20I Total vs Bangladesh
With the feat, Bangladesh scripted history as they managed to bowl out Pakistan for the first time in their T20I history, which eventually resulted in the Men in Green bundling out for just 110 runs, their lowest total against Bangladesh in the shortest format of the match.
