India's T20I captain and star performer for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Suryakumar Yadav, is one of the most fearsome batters in white-ball cricket. The right-hander, who is a major part of the MI family, has achieved a massive landmark in the ongoing game against Lucknow Super Giants.

Suryakumar Yadav, who has done a remarkable job in IPL history playing for Mumbai Indians and previously for Kolkata Knight Riders with the bat, has done wonders scoring runs while batting in the middle order.
The right-handed batter, who helped India to a 2024 T20 World Cup victory in the final with a sensational catch, has featured in 154 IPL matches so far for MI and KKR, with 54 of those games coming for the Knight Riders previously.
However, in the ongoing game between Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants is Surya's 100th game in the blue jersey as he first featured for them in the IPL in 2012, where he could only play one match and was then bought by Knight Riders, who retained him for the next three seasons. After which, he eventually returned to the MI side in 2018 and, since then, has been a vital cog for the five-time champions.

With this being his 100th game for MI in the IPL, the 34-year-old is now the eighth player to feature in 100 matches for the MI side, with Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Harbhajan Singh, and many others on the list who have done a similar job for one of the most feared side in T20 cricket.
The extensive list features some of the greatest players to play for MI ever, where Harbhajan Singh became the first player for MI to play in 100 games, which he achieved during the 2016 edition while Rohit Sharma has represented the Mumbai side the most number of times with 215 games under his belt.

For the Mumbai Indians, after playing currently featuring in 100 games, Surya has scored 3090 runs, making him the third-highest run-getter for the side in IPL history, with Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard being the two giants of this powerhouse franchise ahead of him.
Ahead of the 2025 mega auction, SKY was retained by the MI side for INR 16.35 crore as he went on to lead them in the opening game against Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk in the absence of regular skipper Hardik Pandya.
