The domestic season of Indian cricket has started in the form of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023. The tournament being a T20 Format, there are a lot of young faces in each team. Abhishek Sharma has smashed a century in the ongoing game between Punjab and Andhra Pradesh. 

At the JSCA International Stadium, Ranchi, the match among the teams of Group C is going on, where the all-rounder Abhishek Sharma, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, has hammered a ton in just 42 deliveries and went on to score 112 off 51 deliveries. 

With Abhishek's high-voltage performance, Punjab have managed to register the highest total in the history of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Now, Punjab's 275 is the highest total in the history of this tournament. 

Not just Abhishek Sharma, but Anmolpreet Singh, who used to play for Mumbai Indians and represented Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last season, played a brilliant knock of 87 off just 26 deliveries. His innings included a total of nine sixes and six boundaries. 

Both cricketers made a brilliant partnership of 62 off just 28 deliveries and gave a flyer to the Punjab's total. And now, team Andhra Pradesh is already six wickets down, and the likes of Hanuma Vihari, Shaek Rasheed and Srikar Bharat are all back in the pavilion. 

Harpreet Brar, who represents Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League, has taken three wickets in his two overs and ensured that his team will win by a huge margin in this game. The Punjab team led by Mandeep Sindh have lost one game, and with this win, their confidence will go up, and they will look to continue the same momentum as they will face Railways in their next game.
