ICC To Review Mickey Arthur's 'Bilateral Series' Comment On India Vs Pakistan WC Clash

Team India won the hottest contest of the World Cup 2023 convincingly with seven wickets in hand. Gutted by the defeat, Pakistan's coach, Mickey Arthur, made an absurd comment on the atmosphere during the high-voltage clash in Ahmedabad.

After the India-Pakistan game on 14th October, Arthur, in the post-match press conference, said it seemed more like a bilateral series and BCCI event than an ICC tournament. He also complained about the songs that were played during the game.

Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council (ICC) chairman, Greg Barclays, has stated that the apex body will review the statement made by Arthur after the India-Pakistan clash.

He said there's always some criticism from various quarters while maintaining that the ICC would review these things as the tournament is at its early stage.

Rohit Sharma and Co. totally dominated Pakistan as they restricted them to under 200, and then, with Rohit's masterclass, India chased down the total with seven wickets remaining.

Pakistan lost their first game of the World Cup 2023 against the arch-rivals and will be locking horns against the mighty Aussies on 20th October in Bengaluru at Chinnaswamy stadium. On the other hand, India maintained their streak of eight successive wins against the arch-rivals in ICC ODI World Cups.
