In what comes in as a huge setback for the Punjab Kings, one of their key bowlers, Lockie Ferguson has suffered a hamstring issue. It is noted that the Kiwi pacer walked off the field immediately after he faced the issue.

Notably, the Punjab Kings are currently facing off against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. 

Shreyas Iyer Played A Solid Knock For PBKS

The Kings batted first in the game and posted a mammoth total of 245/6 at the end of their 20 overs. Shreyas Iyer played a memorable knock to take the team to a total that would challenge the powerful batting line-up of the SRH.

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma gave the exact start SRH needed to scale down the mountain of runs. Lockie Ferguson has been a prime weapon for Shreyas Iyer in IPL 2025. The Kiwi pacer has picked up wickets in the middle overs and has brought them back in crucial stages of most games.

Lockie Ferguson Walked Out With Hamstring Injury

PBKS needed the pacer to be present what appears to be a high-scoring clash. But much to the misfortune of the team, the speedster felt an issue on his hamstring during the first over that he bowled in the game. 

It was while starting the run-up that he failed the issue. Immediately after he felt the issue, Ferguson had to walk out.
