Bangladesh is facing South Africa in the first Test of the two-match series at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. The home team opted to bat first in the game after winning the toss. However, the Bangladeshi batting line-up succumbed to hostile bowling by the visitors.
Bangladesh batting was destroyed by the South African bowling
Wiaan Mulder started the destruction on the part of the Proteas, picking up the first three wickets within the first six overs. This early jolt left the Bangladeshis without a reply as the middle-order batters failed to show any resilience, and wickets kept falling at regular intervals.
Kagiso Rabada and Keshav Maharaj soon joined Mulder. The three bowlers picked up three wickets each and accounted for a technically feeble and mentally weakened Bangladesh batting line-up. The South Africans have bundled out the home team for just 106 runs in 40.1 overs.
Bangladesh was bundled out for the paltry total, registering some unwanted records. Their total now stands as the fifth lowest in Tests at home.

As a result of this poor batting effort, Bangladesh have nearly batted themselves out of the game. South Africa will be looking to bat long in the first and put on a formidable total, so they have to bat only once in this game.
