Smriti Mandhana Joins Bates And Beaumont On Elite List

After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Australia Women had an ordinary start with the ball, as Mandhana and Pratika Rawal stitched a quick-fire partnership of 70 runs in 11.3 overs.

While Rawal was dismissed for 25 by Ashleigh Gardner, Smriti Mandhana continued her onslaught on the visitors, frustrating them with scintillating stroke play.

The southpaw took a particular liking for Georgia Wareham, dispatching her several deliveries into the stands. She eventually brought up her century in 77 deliveries, joining New Zealand's Suzie Bates and England's Tammy Beaumont for the joint-most centuries as an opener in Women's ODIs.
