SKY Out, Samson In | Here's India's Playing XI For 2nd ODI vs West Indies

After clinching the Test series by a comprehensive 1-0 margin, India had a phenomenal start to the ODI series against West Indies, crushing the hosts by five wickets in the first ODI at Bridgetown in Barbados. Bowling first, India bowled out West Indies for a paltry 114 and chased it down successfully, courtesy of a scintillating knock from Ishan Kishan. However, besides India's thumping win, the incident which grabbed the fans' attention was the exclusion of Sanju Samson from India's playing XI.

So, as both teams gear up for an intriguing battle, let's see if India could fit Samson in their playing XI for this match.

India's Playing XI For 2nd ODI vs West Indies

To be honest, as India won the previous game, they will likely continue with the same team. However, considering how poor Suryakumar Yadav has been in ODIs, the Indian think tank might replace him with Samson.

India's probable XI (choice 1): Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Ishan Kishan (WK), Suryakumar Yadav/Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mukesh Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Umran Malik

In another move, India might bench a seamer, preferably Umran Malik, and draft Samson into their playing XI. This would result in five genuine bowling options, including Hardik Pandya, in their squad.

India's probable XI (choice 2): Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Ishan Kishan (WK), Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Mukesh Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav.

The game begins at 7.00 PM IST and will be streamed live on FanCode and Jio Cinema.
