West Indies seamer Jayden Seales had a dream start to the Test series against Australia at the iconic Kensington Oval in Barbados. The fast bowler bagged five crucial wickets, helping West Indies restrict the visitors to a paltry 180-run total in their first innings. 

Seales Goes Past Holding, Joins Marshall On Elite List

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Australia had a disastrous start to their innings, thanks to the bowling exploits of Jayden Seales and Shamar Joseph. 

Talking about Seales, the right-arm speedster got rid of Josh Inglis and Alex Carey before cleaning up the Australian tail with the prized scalps of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood. 

He finished his spell with clinical figures of 5 for 60 in 15.5 overs, becoming the only fourth West Indies bowler to register a five-wicket haul against Australia at Kensington Oval.

As mentioned above, the legendary duo of Courtney Walsh and Malcolm Marshall claims the first two positions, with Denis Atkinson, Jayden Seales and Holding claiming the third, fourth and fifth spots, respectively, on the list. 

Meanwhile, Shamar Joseph also entered the top ten on the list, claiming the sixth position following his sensational spell on day 1 of the Test match. He played a significant role in triggering Australia's collapse, scalping key wickets of Sam Konstas, Usman Khawaja, Cameron Green and Beau Webster. 

Riding on the clinical spells of these two bowlers, West Indies bundled Australia out for 180 despite Travis Head's quick-fire 59-run knock. In response, the visitors also had a promising start with the ball, as Starc, Hazlewood, and Cummins bagged four wickets collectively, reducing the hosts to 57 for four before stumps on day 1.
