In a remarkable achievement, Mushfiqur Rahim went past MS Dhoni and Inzamam-ul-Haq on two elite lists of batters. The talismanic Bangladesh cricketer attained the landmark during the second Test against Sri Lanka at Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. 

Rahim Surpasses MS Dhoni In A Huge Feat

Mushfiqur Rahim, who struck a clinical hundred in the first Test of the series, steadied the ship for Bangladesh with Litton Das after the loss of four crucial wickets. In this process, the experienced batter broke MS Dhoni's record, surpassing him on the list of batters with the most international runs against Sri Lanka.

Rahim Breaks Inzamam's Massive Record vs Sri Lanka

Mushfiqur Rahim also surpassed Pakistan legend Inzamam-ul-Haq, registering more runs than the latter against Sri Lanka in Test cricket. 

In his illustrious career, Inzamam hammered 1559 runs, including five tons and seven fifties, against the Lankan Lions. Meanwhile, Rahim, who already had 1558 runs to his name, has raced to 1593 runs, eclipsing Inzamam's tally in this process.
