The 50-run win against Punjab Kings also was RR's second biggest victory against them, and Sanju Samson has once again shown what difference it makes to the fortunes of the franchise when he leads them. The win also has given RR their second win of the season, while Punjab Kings have tasted their first loss of IPL 2025.
Sanju Samson himself played a quality knock of 38 at the top of the order, and with Yashasvi Jaiswal hitting his first fifty of the season, RR became the first team to cross 200 run-mark in Mullanpur. Their bowlers then did a brilliant job with Jofra Archer setting the tone, and overall it was a clinical victory for Rajasthan Royals.
