Yashasvi Jaiswal is one of the rising stars in Indian cricket and has done quite well at the international level in the last year or so. He has been doing well in IPL as well, but could not make much of an impact in the initial three matches of the Indian Premier Legaue 2025.
Thus, he decided to take his time in the fourth game against Punjab Kings, and scored fifty off 40 balls, his slowest in the IPL history. His previous slowest came off 39 balls against CSK in IPL 2022, and it shows how low in confidence Yashasvi Jaiswal was before the game. He is naturally an aggressive batter though and after his fifty, accelerated, eventually ending with a score of 67 off 45 balls.
Yashasvi Jaiswal's Slowest Fifties In IPL
Year | Balls |
2025 | 40 vs PBKS |
2022 | 39 vs CSK |
2023 | 35 vs PBKS |
2023 | 34 vs SRH |
Yashasvi Jaiswal would be hoping to continue that he comes up with more aggressive knock in the upcoming games and help him team get to formidable totals. In this game too, Rajasthan Royals kicked on and became the first team to score 200 in Mullanpur, with the likes of Riyan Parag, and Shimron Hetmyer playing handy knocks.
At the top of the order, Sanju Samson scored 38 off 26 balls and RR would be hoping that their bowlers come up with a strong performance and give them two crucial points.
