Gujarat Titans' (GT) opening left-handed batter, Sai Sudharsan, has surpassed legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Ruturaj Gaikwad, Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s skipper. In the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Sudharsan has done a tremendous job with the bat.

Sai Sudharsan Etches His Name In The Record Books

The intentful opening batter for Gujarat Titans in the ongoing IPL, Sai Sudharsan has been terrific, as he has managed to score 504 runs so far in 10 matches at an average of 50.40 and a strike rate of 154.12, with five half-centuries to his name so far.

Moreover, in the ongoing encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sudharsan batted beautifully for his 48 runs off just 23 deliveries, with nine boundaries, and while doing that, he struck runs at a strike rate of 208.70, providing Titans with a solid start alongside skipper Shubman Gill, who departed for 76.

In doing so, Sudharsan has now registered a total of 1538 runs in his IPL career that began back in 2022, as he has featured in 35 matches overall in his IPL career, all of them coming for Titans.

Moreover, his 1500 runs in the IPL are the fastest by an Indian in terms of innings. Previously, the record was jointly held by legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar, who used to play for Mumbai Indians whereas, current CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was ruled out of the ongoing season due to an elbow fracture, shared the spot with 44 innings.

Sudarshan has been highly consistent with the bat, as he has provided solid starts to the side with his opening partner Gill.
