On Saturday, November 1, South Africa and Pakistan locked horns for the third and final T20I of the three-match series. The Salman Ali Agha-led side registered a four-wicket win to bounce back and clinch the series 2-1 despite losing the opening game.

It was a jam-packed event as the fans had turned up in big numbers to support their team at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Meanwhile, Sahibzada Farhan has been doing the rounds on the internet, but for the wrong reasons.

Farhan, who was the only positive for Pakistan during the Asia Cup 2025 with the bat, had a below-par three-match series and only amassed 71 runs in three matches. However, in the latest events, he has become the talk of the town for stooping to a new low and appreciating derogatory remarks made by Pakistani fans in the 3rd T20I.

Farhan applauds below-the-belt slogans on Bumrah

Notably, during the first innings, Farhan was mostly pointed towards the boundary ropes and was closer to the fans. Meanwhile, one section of the crowd started to taunt India pacer Jasprit Bumrah on the field.

The fan made derogatory remarks and started to refer to Farhan as Bumrah's father. A clip has spread like wildfire on the internet where the fan chanted “Bumrah ke abbu (Bumrah’s father)". Meanwhile, Farhan, instead of stopping the gesture, supported the move and was caught clapping and appreciating such behaviour from the fans.

The rivalry that dates back to the Asia Cup 2025

The recently concluded Asia Cup 2025 was one of the most controversial events in the history of cricket as both Pakistan and India locked horns despite recent tensions at the border.

While, India clinched the title and overshadowed Pakistan, Bumrah failed to dominate Farhan and was hit for sixes on multiple occasions, which led to the Pakistani fans celebrating Farhan for hitting India's best bowler.

The tensions grew further when Bumrah celebrated Haris Rauf's wicket with a 'Pakistan jet shot down' celebration in the final, and it was that anger that the fan was expressing on the field with Bumrah's reference in the Pakistan vs South Africa match.
