On Tuesday, July 29, Pakistan Champions locked horns against Australia Champions in the 14th match of the World Championship Of Legends (WCL). The Shoaib Malik-led side won the toss and asked to field first.

Pakistan were on top of its game as they reduced Australia to just 74 runs. Saeed Ajmal turned back the clock with his spell as the right-arm seamer took a six-wicket haul. The right-arm off-spinner registered the figures of 6/16. 

Ajmal took the crucial wickets of D'Arcy Short, Dan Christian, Ben Cutting, Peter Siddle, S O'Keefe and B Dunk. The former Pakistan star is having a great tournament, as he has 11 wickets in the WCL 2025.

Saeed Ajmal's Contribution Help Pakistan Champions Qualify

Ajmal has been in fine form, and his contribution has helped Pakistan qualify for the next stage in the WCL. The Men in Green are undefeated in the tournament as they beat South Africa and the West Indies, and are on course for another win against the Australian Champions. 

Meanwhile, Pakistan's game against India's Champions was cancelled after heavy backlash and cricketers pulling out of the fixture because of the recent heightened tensions between the two countries. 

Saeed Ajmal's Illustrious Career Decoded 

The 47-year-old made his Pakistan debut in 2008 against India and served for his country till 2015. Ajmal featured in 35 Tests and over 100 ODIs.

The right-arm spinner completed his career with over 250 wickets across formats. Notably, he was also honoured with Pakistan's third-highest honour, Sitara-e-Imtiaz, in 2015. 

Talking about the ongoing match, at the time of writing this match, Pakistan Champions are 45/0 after 5.5 overs and on course for a comfortable win.
