The fifth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is finally underway and the visitors have made a massive change to their line-up by leaving out regular skipper Rohit Sharma. Jasprit Bumrah is leading India and has started off well by winning an important toss at the iconic SCG.

He has decided to bat first on a green-looking pitch and would be hoping that his batters come up with a good first innings performance.

India have also brought in Prasidh Krishna in place of injured Akash Deep while Shubman Gill comes in for Rohit Sharma. Australia, on the other hand, have Beau Webster making his Test debut in place of struggling Mitchell Marsh.

IND vs AUS: Toss Update

Australia are leading the series by 2-1 margin and have a great chance to grab the BGT trophy first time in a decade. A win in this game would also confirm their place in the WTC final while India also need to win this match to keep their hopes of Test Championship final alive. The visitors have taken a bold call and they would be hoping that Jasprit Bumrah's leadership work wonders for them just like it did in the opening Test in Perth.

Also, Lokesh Rahul will be back as an opener in this Test while Gill will take the number 3 position and India have decided to go with two spinners and three pacers with pitch likely to offer some turn later in the match. Australia have a settled look to their side and the addition of Beau Webster would add more depth to their bowling attack and they would be hoping that their pacers come up with goods in the opening session.

The stage is set for an exciting clash and with overcast conditions on offer and some grass on the pitch, Indian openers need to show application in the first hour.
