South Africa is set to face Pakistan in the second Test of the two-game series starting from January 3. The clash will be held at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town, and the first session will begin at 2.00 PM IST and 10.30 AM Local time.
The Proteas won the first Test against Pakistan at Centurion by 2 wickets in what turned out to be a thriller game. Captain Temba Bavuma made notable contributions in both games as South Africa sailed to a comfortable win.
The victory was more special and historic for the Proteas as they confirmed a seat at the World Test Championship final in 2025. For the first time in history, Bavuma and co. entered the finals of the Test championships.
Meanwhile, Pakistan also fought equally hard. Mohammad Abbas impressed with a six-wicket-haul in the fourth inning. His spell proved to be challenging for South Africa. With the bat, Kamran Ghulam and Saud Shakeel scored a fifty, injecting life into the game.
