Rohit Sharma's much-awaited Ranji comeback is turning out to be quite interesting for cricket fans around the world. The batter failed on his return, scoring just three off 19 balls and Mumbai faltered big time to get bowled out for just 120 on the opening day against Jammu and Kashmir.

Now, according to the senior Assistant editor of the Times of India, Gaurav Gupta, the star cricketer was absent from the field during the final session of the day. The update has raised concerns over his fitness, and if there is some problem it would be a big blow to India ahead of big series against England and Champions Trophy.

Rohit Sharma's Lack Of Form In Red-Ball Cricket Continues

However, Rohit's absence from the field could be just a precautionary measure as during IPL too he has been absent from the field during some day matches. There could be some emergency too, which can get resolved too. In Test cricket, due to its long nature, cricketers often go off the field to rest or carry out some important tasks and not lot of conclusions can be drawn from Rohit's absence.

However, the bigger concern is Rohit Sharma's lack of form. The star batter did not score runs on the Australian tour and failed against Bangladesh and Kiwis at home too, and his Test future looks uncertain at the moment. He is an important player for India in ODI cricket though, and India would like him to come out all guns blazing in the format like he did before the Test season began.
