On Saturday, December 6, Team India concluded the ODI series against South Africa and clinched the series after a dominating display in the final ODI. Notably, the Men in Blue handed Proteas a nine-wicket defeat courtesy of a Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma show.
The veterans were again on top of their game as the hitman and chase-master slammed fifties respectively. Now the caravan again moves to T20Is with the first of the five-match series starting from December 9. Virat and Rohit Sharma will not be there as they are only active in ODIs. When will Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma be in action next?
Fortunately, for the fans, the wait won't be long as India have an ODI series scheduled against New Zealand at home in January. The T20I series against South Africa will conclude on December 19, and the team will have a rest of 22 days before facing New Zealand for the first ODI on January 11 at the BCA stadium in Badodra.
It will be a three-match series with 2nd and third ODI scheduled on January 14 and 18.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma end the series on a high note
It has been a great series for Virat Kohli as the right-arm seamer scored two consecutive centuries and also an unbeaten 65 (45) in the series decider. Further, Rohit Sharma has been great as well, and the hitman amassed 146 runs in three innings.
He started the series with a fifty and ended the tour with a fifty as well.
