Here’s the timeline of how RAN vs DC panned out in Dhaka-
BPL 2025, RAN vs DC Highlights: Alauddin and Mustafizur Bring the Heat Early
The Riders had a tough start after being sent in to bat. Dhaka Capitals’ bowlers, Alauddin Babu and Mustafizur Rahman, were right on the money from the first ball. They made life miserable for the Riders’ openers, swinging and seaming the ball just enough to keep the batters guessing.
In no time, the Riders were 20-2 in just three overs, losing both openers cheaply. Alauddin, in particular, was on fire, moving the ball beautifully and sending two back to the pavillion. The start couldn’t have been worse for the Riders.

Just when it looked like the Riders were in big trouble, Iftikhar Ahmed (49) and Saif Hassan (40) stepped up and steadied the ship.
The pair stitched an excellent 89-run partnership for the third wicket, dragging the Riders back into the game. Iftikhar was all class as he found gaps and kept the runs flowing, while Saif played the perfect anchor and held one end firmly.
Unfortunately, Saif fell to Alauddin Babu after a well-made 40, but by then, the Riders had clawed their way back into the game.

After Iftikhar departed for a brilliant 49, the Riders needed someone to finish strong, and their skipper Nurul Hasan (25 off 11 balls) stepped up. He played a brisk knock, taking on the bowlers and ensuring the momentum didn’t dip.
However, it was Khushdil Shah who stole the show in the death overs. Coming in with just a few overs to spare, he smashed an unbeaten 46 off 23 balls taking the Riders to a very respectable 191/6.

The Capitals started their chase of 192 on a high note, with Tanzid Hasan (30 off 21) and Litton Das (31 off 27) looking solid. The duo kept the runs flowing, putting up a handy 65-run stand for the first wicket. Things looked smooth for the Capitals until Mahedi Hasan entered the scene.
Mahedi Hasan came in and completely changed the complexion of the game on its head. He got rid of both openers in no time, and before the Capitals knew it, they had slumped to 73-3, losing three wickets in just two overs.

Khushdil Shah also chipped in and bagged two crucial wickets to keep the brakes on. In the end, the Capitals crawled to 151/9 in their 20 overs, falling well short of the target.
