The 9th match of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 between Pakistan and Bangladesh has met with a roadblock as rain has made an appearance at the Rawalpindi Cricket Ground. As a result of rain, the toss between the two has been delayed. A rare sight already, the dead rubber match in an ICC tournament will be the final dance for the two teams to bow out with some pride and a win in hand.
Toss Delayed After Rain Plays Spoilsport
The latest weather (2:47 PM IST & 2:17 PM Local Time) Update at by Crex revealed that: "The umpires have stepped onto the field, umbrellas in hand, as the drizzle persists. The covers remain firmly in place. A discussion is now underway between the umpires and the head of the groundsman as they assess the conditions."
This is not the first time that rain has caused troubles, the high-stakes match between South Africa and Australia was also washed out, and now once again rain is threatening to disrupt Pakistan and Bangladesh's final fixture.

Talking about the points table, after Bangladesh and Pakistan's early exit, both New Zealand and India have already secured semi-final spots. Pakistan, after a 60-run loss to New Zealand and a defeat to India, struggled with both bat and ball. They posted 241/10, with Saud Shakeel top-scoring 62, but India’s Virat Kohli’s century guided them to victory.
Bangladesh, knocked out after a loss to New Zealand, posted 236/9, with Najmul Hossain Shanto scoring 77. New Zealand chased down the target, winning with a 129-run stand between Tom Latham and Rachin Ravindra.
