The 52nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 will be played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on Sunday, May 7th.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Team Preview

Sunrisers Hyderabad have had a tumultuous journey in the tournament so far, with their players and management at the centre of the chaos. 

Having managed to win three games out of the nine they played, they are currently languishing in the lower half of the IPL 2023 points table. 

Their previous game was a narrow defeat at the hands of the Kolkata Knight Riders, a game they had control of for much of the match before letting it slip away in the end. 

They are now in a do-or-die situation, with every game for them from here on out serving as a virtual knockout. They must win their remaining five matches to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Rajasthan Royals, who got off to a solid start in the tournament, have suddenly lost their form. They have lost five out of the ten matches they have played so far and currently sit at the third spot on the points table. They are entering this game on the back of two consecutive losses. 

Their latest defeat was a humiliating one at the hands of the table-toppers Gujarat Titans as the Royals bundled out for 118 runs while batting first, and their bowlers were no match for the Titans as they chased down the target within just 14 overs. Hoping to turn their fortunes around, they will be looking for a win to redeem themselves.
