Ravichandran Ashwin was involved in yet another controversial moment during a Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) clash on Saturday evening. In a match between Dindigul Dragons and Siechem Madurai Panthers, Ashwin triggered a hilarious blunder which led to triple run-out chance being missed.

One error of judgement from Ashwin and his teammates and it led to three run-out chances missed on one single ball, and as a result, the Madurai batters turned a single run into three runs and this led Ashwin fuming in anger, not only on himself, but on his teammates as well.

Comedy of errors as Madurai steal a quick three

The event occurred in the penultimate ball of the first innings as Gurjapneet Singh was on strike and he drove a ball towards extra cover region and tried to sneak a quick single. Ashwin was placed there as he threw the ball towards the non strikers end but it was not collected properly.

This misfield allowed the two batters to take another run. Then, the throw from short mid wicket towards the strikers end was also wayward and it allowed them to sneak in a third run as well. The comedy didn't stop there as the third throw from short third man also missed his mark but this time the batters couldn't take advantage. This made Ashwin angry as he stood still with an angry face.

Not the first time Ashwin was involved in a controversy in TNPL

This is not the first time Ashwin was involved in a controversy this season. During the Dindigul Dragons and iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans clash, Ashwin was given lbw by the on-field umpire but it seemed as if the ball pitched outside the leg. This triggered the former India player as he had an altercation with the umpire.

He took out his frustration while going back to the dugout as he smashed his pad with the bat and was later fined for this act.
