The Indian Premier League (IPL) is in the final stages and no marks for guessing that teams are vying for the prized qualification spots. Something similar could be realized during the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) match where two teams are battling out in Dharamshala to present their chance for playoffs.

The Punjab side batted first and posted 187 on the board and now, the task is upon the hands of Rajasthan to finish the game in 18.3 overs to get their Net Run Rate (NRR) above Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). With RR before this matches having NRR of +0.140 while RCB after the completion of 13 matches are holding the rate of +0.180.

The difference could be cleared if RR manage to finish this game with seven balls to spare and on the other hand, PBKS have to stop the Royals before 70 if they want to get past RCB in terms of NRR. In their case, 142 is enough to take over the Mumbai Indians on the points table.

The winner of this match would get to 14 points and with the NRR better than the above-mentioned two teams RCB & MI, they would hope that these sides lose their respective games.

As of now, just Gujarat Titans (GT) have managed to book their berth, with as many as seven sides still fighting with each other for three remaining positions.
