The nation's domestic cricket season commenced with a resounding impact, setting the stage for fervent anticipation among cricket enthusiasts. While the Ranji tournament delivered a thrilling spectacle, another enthralling contest unfolded in the shadows—the Cooch Behar Trophy. Amidst the passionate fervor of fans tuning in via their TVs, online streams, and laptops, this competition witnessed the shattering of multiple records. 

In an extraordinary display of sporting prowess, Prakhar Chaturvedi emerged as the standout performer today. The Karnataka batsman etched his name in cricket history by amassing a staggering 404 runs, an innings marked by resilience and brilliance as he remained unbeaten. 

Chaturvedi's monumental effort propelled Karnataka to the next round of the tournament, leaving an indelible mark on the ongoing Cooch Behar Trophy.

In a high-stakes encounter, Mumbai took the crease first, posting a formidable total of 380 runs in 114 overs. Ayush Mhatre emerged as the standout batsman, contributing a commanding 145 runs to Mumbai's tally. On the bowling front, Hardik Raj proved to be a formidable force, clinching four crucial wickets. Samit Dravid and Samarth N also made significant contributions, securing two wickets each.

Facing the monumental target of 380 to secure a spot in the next round, Karnataka embarked on their innings with a stellar opening partnership between Prakhar Chaturvedi and Karthik S U. 

The duo set the tone for Karnataka's pursuit, laying a solid foundation for what was to come. The No. 3 batsman, Harshil Dharmani, joined forces with Chaturvedi, crafting a formidable second-wicket partnership that yielded an impressive 280 runs. Harshil showcased his prowess with a remarkable individual score of 169 before departing.

Despite the occasional fall of wickets, Prakhar Chaturvedi held his ground tenaciously, orchestrating partnerships with the remaining batters. His unwavering resolve culminated in a monumental innings, as he remained unbeaten, amassing a colossal 404 runs.

The scoreboard reflected his dominance with a remarkable tally of 46 fours and three sixes. When Karnataka and Mumbai agreed to end the game, Karnataka declared at the score of 890 for the loss of eight wickets with Prakhar and Samarth N being unbeaten.
