The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has revealed its squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy, featuring a strong 15-member lineup for the initial clashes against Bihar and Andhra. Ajinkya Rahane, with his seasoned leadership, will once again lead the team as they embark on the challenges of the tournament for the second consecutive season.

In the tournament's previous edition in 2023, Mumbai found itself finishing in the respectable fourth position in Elite Group B. However, the team fell short of making it to the knockout stages. Now, with renewed vigour and under the leadership of Rahane, Mumbai is aiming for a stronger performance and a coveted spot in the knockouts.

The trio of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, and Prithvi Shaw are absent from the squad this time around, who made significant contributions in the previous season. Their absence opens up opportunities for emerging talents to make their mark and showcase their prowess on the Ranji Trophy stage.
