Pakistan Women will be up against Sri Lanka Women in the second semi-final match of the Women's Asia Cup 2022 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on Thursday, October 13. 

Pakistan finished the league stage with a thumping five wickets victory over Sri Lanka. Their bowlers wreaked absolute havoc and bowled out Sri Lanka for 112 runs in 18.5 overs while bowling first.

In the second half of the game, Pakistan chased down the target in just 18.5 overs with Nida Dar and Aliya Riaz impressing with the bat. With five wins from six games, Pakistan wrapped up at the second position in the league table. 

Sri Lanka, on the other hand, won four of their six league stage matches and finished in the third spot on the leaderboard. They will look to avenge their previous loss against Pakistan, with Harshitha Madavi and Chamari Athapaththu being key to their fortunes.

  • Harshitha Madavi: With 166 runs in six matches, she claims the second position in the batting charts of the tournament. 
  • Sidra Ameen: She is the highest run-scorer for Pakistan, amassing 149 runs in six matches at an average of 29.80 and a strike rate of 96.
  • Nida Dar: She has scored 119 runs in four innings while with the ball, she has scalped seven wickets at an economy of 5.50.
  • Omaima Sohail: She is the second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament. Overall, she has picked 10 wickets in five matches. 
  • Chamari Athapaththu: She was terrific with the bat against Pakistan in the most recent fixture, scoring 41 runs off just 26 balls.
