Pakistan's Usman Khan Lights Up BPL With Stunning Hundred Vs Durbar Rajshahi

Saim Ayub suffered a horrific injury in the ongoing second Test match between Pakistan and South Africa at the Centurion. The opener twisted his ankle and was taken off on a stretcher as his Champions Trophy participation is in jeopardy.

There are 3 potential Saim Ayub replacements in the Champions Trophy squad and one of them is Usman Khan, the talented batter who made a name for himself in Pakistan's Champions ODI Cup.

He was drafted in the Chittagong Kings squad for the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League season. In the clash against Durbar Rajshahi, Usman stamped his authority and made a statement for the upcoming Champions Trophy with a majestic hundred. This was his 5th T20 century in just 56 matches.

The opening batter was at his imperial best as he smacked the opposition bowlers with ease and blasted a marvellous 123 off 62 balls, laced with 13 fours and 6 sixes. He didn't spare any bowler and knocked on the selector's doors with a special knock.

The dangerous batter has become the leading run-scorer of the ongoing BPL 2024-25. He didn't do much in the first match, but was at the peak of his powers as the Pakistan batter bludgeoned his way to a mammoth score which propelled Chittagong to 219/5.

In 2 matches so far, Usman has amassed 141 runs at an average of 70 and a strike-rate of 183. If he continues to perform, Pakistan selectors will have no choice left but to include him in the side for the Champions Trophy, set to begin next month.
