In a shocking turn of events, India Women lost to Pakistan in the Women's Asia Cup game by 13 runs on Friday.

Chasing a paltry 138, team India crumbled under pressure and lost wickets at regular intervals. Richa Ghosh tried her best, but eventually the Bismah Maroof led side was too strong to handle.

Pakistan's win ended India's streak of 5 consecutive T20I wins over six years since 2016. The last time Pakistan defeated India in the shortest format of the game was at the World T20 in 2016.

In that game, India women scored a paltry 96 for 7 and had reduced Pakistan to 77 for 6 at the end of the 16th over when rain played the perfect spoilsport. The D/L par score was 75 at that situation which enabled the Sana Mir led side to scrap past the winning line.

After this shocking loss, India will play their remaining two fixtures against Bangladesh and Thailand.
