Pakistan reject Imam-ul-Haq continues to rack up runs for Yorkshire this One-Day Cup 2025 season in England. Struggling to find a place in the national squad, the elegant opening batter just plundered his third century of the English domestic tournament in the space of just two weeks.

Imam’s latest knock of 106 runs pushed Yorkshire past Sussex in a high-scoring cracker at the County Ground in Hove on Sunday, August 24; a knock that not only justified his rich vein of form but also proved to be a decisive, match-winning contribution for his side.

Imam-ul-Haq Answers Pakistan Omission With Another Ton

Imam-ul-Haq notched up yet another match-winning masterclass for Yorkshire, this time against Sussex bowlers in a Group B match of the 2025 One-Day Cup. Chasing a steep target of 285 runs in Hove, Imam lost opening partner Adam Lyth early in the innings before the Pakistani reject formulated a match-defining 196-run partnership for the second wicket with number three James Wharton.

The elegant left-hander punched out 10 boundaries and three huge sixes to cart 106 runs off 105 balls before he nicked one towards John Simpson off Fynn Hudson-Prentice. Nonetheless, Imam’s innings laid the foundation of a comprehensive Yorkshire win, as they soared past the Sussex total with 14 balls and six wickets in hand.

The innings also marked Imam-ul-Haq’s third century of the ongoing 2025 One-Day Cup, and he became only the second cricketer after Hampshire’s Nick Gubbins to aggregate more than 500 runs this season. With three hundreds and two fifties, the 29-year-old is currently averaging a prolific 102.60, having piled up 513 runs in just six innings of the tournament.

When Did Imam-Ul-Haq Last Play For Pakistan?

Imam-ul-Haq last played an ODI match for Pakistan back in April this year during their three-match tour of New Zealand. With failures in each innings, he was subsequently dropped from the Pakistan squad for the white-ball series against West Indies.

Imam-ul-Haq is already out of Pakistan’s Test and T20I line-ups since 2018 and 2019 respectively.
