In a crucial encounter, Oman's captain Jatinder Singh won the toss and elected to bowl first against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Match 7 of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Both Oman and the UAE head into this match after suffering heavy defeats in their respective tournament openers. With qualification hopes for the Super Four stage hanging by a thread, this fixture has turned into a must-win clash for both teams.

It is important to mention that Oman has made three crucial changes in the playing XI -Aryan Bish is making his T20I debut and will replace  Zikria Islam. The other two changes are Jiten Ramanandi and Wasim Ali, who have replaced Sufyan Mehmood & Mohammad Nadeem. On the other hand, the UAE have made one major change Muhammad Jawadullah replaces Simranjeet Singh Kang.

Muhammad Waseem (UAE Captain): "We are happy to bowl first, the pitch is looking good maybe the wicket will help. We came here on a new day with a new plan. We will try to win our 6th match against them. We have one change, Simranjeet is not playing, Jawad is playing."

Jatinder Singh (Oman Captain): "We are going to bowl first. Well I think the ball comes nicely on the bat in night and the ball travels pretty quickly as well. We had one of the off days, the boys will apply themselves and we will have a good day. We have 3 changes, Aryan Bisht is debuting today."
