Another last-over thriller in the Indian Premier League (IPL) happened last night when Delhi Capitals (DC) emerged victorious over SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) by a margin of seven runs courtesy of some quality bowling from Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav.

After the game, express pacer Anrich Nortje spoke about their close victory for which he mentioned that he was happy but wasn't thoroughly impressed as they were a few runs short of what could have been a better score on this wicket. But both the spinners saved their side from an embarrassing loss.

Nortje who picked up two wickets was clear in the strategies that he wanted to bowl length deliveries as it wasn't easy to hit the ones that were placed there. Also, the South African spearhead said that keeping the plans and mindset simple always works as it did in this case.

"Really happy to get the win. Still not the ideal performance. Maybe a few runs short but the spinners did a fine job and we did a great job closing out the game in the end. There was a bit of inconsistency on the length and we decided to bowl there. I tried to keep it simple. Just focus on the target and go. But the plan is always to keep it simple,"

Further, Anrich applauded Mukesh Kumar who produced an exceptional over under pressure to seal them the game as he kept his focus under tremendous pressure.

"The plan wasn't to bowl half-volleys. But you get some idea of where the guy is going to hit and it helps. Mukesh was very clear with his plans. He focussed really well in the end. He took his time and executed the plan brilliantly."

Anrich Nortje will next be seen playing in DC colours when these two sides meet again on the 29th of April.
