Just as everything was looking good for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), David Warner-led Delhi Capitals (DC) fought their way back into the game with some class bowling from their spinners and won by a margin of seven runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad.

Delhi batted first and somehow managed to reach 144 with valuable contributions from Axar Patel and Manish Pandey to provide a resurgence to their innings after being five down for 62. Meanwhile, SunRisers made a mess of their chase as they failed to achieve the target which gave the visitors a much-needed victory.

Therefore, we present to you the Talking Points of SRH vs DC clash:

Washington Sundar's Triple Strike Over

Delhi were going well after 7 overs with two down for 57 as Warner and Sarfaraz Khan were on the crease. However, things went downhill all of a sudden when Washington Sundar came to bowl his second over and left a huge impact on the game. The off-spinner first dismissed the DC skipper on the second ball, then, got the better of Sarfaraz Khan on the fourth and later, on the sixth delivery sent back Aman Khan who played a disastrous shot to throw away his wicket.

Manish Pandey, Axar Patel Join Hands For 69-run Partnership

Despite being in some trouble duo of Manish Pandey and Axar Patel were resilient with their approach as they managed to overcome the triple jolts that derailed them off-track in just an over. Batting safely for the next passage of time, occasional boundaries were on display as they took the score from 62 to 131 on a pitch that wasn't easy to bat on. Both of them managed 34 each to take their side to a respectable total.

Axar, Kuldeep Apply Spin Choke to Pull Delhi Back

With the track getting slower and slower, Capitals were always in the game as they had the quality of Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav in their armoury. The left-arm spinners collectively bowled eight overs in the match, gave away just 43 runs and picked up three wickets which proved a blessing for the Ricky Ponting-coached side. It certainly became a difficult task for the Orange Army to recover from such fine bowling.

Warner's Homecoming

There isn't a love story that is written without mentioning David Warner and Hyderabad together. The fact that Warner is more Hyderabadi than Hyderabad itself would be an understatement. However, whatever happened two years ago was a story that still stings him very badly. But this win that came at a stadium which he calls his home, in front of people which he calls his family and against a team which was his own would be the perfect script for a new Telugu Blockbuster!

Who Said What?

Aiden Markram (Sunrisers Hyderabad Skipper)

"Not good with the bat again. Looked like we were not excited to win this game actually. Unfortunately, we are letting ourselves down with the bat. Incredibly proud of the bowlers. They executed their plans brilliantly. Our bowling side doesn't deserve to be on the losing side tonight."

Axar Patel (Player of the Match)

"34 off 34 was important than my bowling. I didn't understand anything. I ordered a coffee and then three wickets fell in an over. We had a chat with Pandey and wanted to have runs on the board to defend a total. Yes, the space is increasing to keep my POTM awards. Yes, sure I will have my new coffee."

David Warner (Delhi Capitals Captain)

"Love it here, it's an amazing crowd. I haven't been here for a long time. Thank you all for your support, and for hanging around. My hair can only get white from here and can't get grey. Thank you very much, thanks to the crowd too. Cheers."
