Pakistan’s veteran spinner Noman Ali delivered a sensational performance in the ongoing Test match against West Indies at the Multan Cricket Stadium. On Day 2, the 38-year-old completed his second career 10-wicket haul. He picked up six wickets in the first innings and continued his dominance on Day 2 by claiming four more in the second innings. 

It is important to note that this is the second 10-wicket haul for Noman Ali in his career. He has 18 Test matches for Pakistan, in which he has taken 83 wickets at an economy of 2.99. 

Noman Ali's 10-Wicket Haul

On Day 2, Noman Ali picked up where he left off on Day 1.  The visitors started the day with a slim 9-run lead but quickly lost their way against Pakistan’s relentless spin attack. West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite showed some resistance and made 52 runs off 74 balls. But Noman dismissed him in the 23rd over. 

Mikyle Louis and Kavem Hodge followed soon after, both falling to the guile of Noman. Just before Lunch, Noman trapped Alick Athanaze an with this he completed his 10th wicket of the match.  

Noman Ali's Historic Hat-Trick On Day 1 

The foundation for Noman’s memorable performance was laid on Day 1 when he produced a stunning hat-trick, becoming the first Pakistani spinner in history to achieve this feat. Talking about the match on Day 1, after Kasif Ali and Sajid Khan struck early blows. Noman Ali was brought into the attack and in no time he wreaked havoc.  

In the 12th over of the innings, Noman dismissed Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach, and Kevin Sinclair on consecutive deliveries to complete his hat-trick. His remarkable contribution reduced the visitors to 25/5. 

At the time of writing this article, lunch is over for day 2. The West Indies is at 146/6 with the lead of 155 runs.
