In a historic moment for Pakistan cricket, left-arm spinner Noman Ali etched his name in the record books by becoming the first Pakistan spinner to take a hat-trick in Test cricket. In the ongoing second Test match West Indies, Noman Ali showcased his brilliance and precision as a bowler at the Multan Cricket Stadium on January 25.
The 38-year-old spinner's hat-trick came in a dramatic spell in the 12th over, where he dismissed Justin Greaves, Tevin Imlach, and Kevin Sinclair in consecutive deliveries.
It would not be wrong to say that Multan pitch is a 'Paradise for spinners', and Pakistan bowlers have undoubtedly continued with their mantra of 'Spin to Win'. Noman struck early in his spell to dismiss West Indies captain Kraigg Brathwaite in his second over.
Debutant Kashif Ali provided an electric start by removing opener Mikyle Louis inside the first 15 minutes. With the surface offering sharp turn from the first hour, Noman and Sajid Khan maintained a stranglehold on the West Indies batters.
