Babar Azam getting trolled by fans online [Source: @Shebas_10dulkar/x]
Babar Azam fell for a three-ball duck against West Indies in the second ODI of the three-match series between the two sides at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. Playing his first international series for Pakistan after a gap of over four months, the senior batter was knocked over by young West Indies fast bowler Jayden Seales in just the ninth over of the match.
Babar’s latest failure also extended his century drought up to nearly two years, considering the legendary Pakistani cricketer last cracked the three-figure score back in late August 2023 during a 2023 Asia Cup match against Nepal.
Babar Azam Subjected To Intense Trolling From Fans
Babar Azam recorded a duck against West Indies in Trinidad on Sunday, August 10. Batting at number three and arriving to the crease following the dismissal of Saim Ayub, Babar’s innings lasted just three deliveries as he was cleaned up by Jayden Seales before rain break.
As one can expect, a legion of cricket fans flocked to social media to troll the Pakistani cricketer over his latest batting failure. While some made hilarious memes at Babar’s expense, others termed him “over-rated” and backed their claims citing his near two-year century drought in international cricket.
