Babar Azam fell for a three-ball duck against West Indies in the second ODI of the three-match series between the two sides at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad. Playing his first international series for Pakistan after a gap of over four months, the senior batter was knocked over by young West Indies fast bowler Jayden Seales in just the ninth over of the match.

Babar’s latest failure also extended his century drought up to nearly two years, considering the legendary Pakistani cricketer last cracked the three-figure score back in late August 2023 during a 2023 Asia Cup match against Nepal.

Babar Azam made his return to international cricket for Pakistan earlier this week through the series-opening first ODI against West Indies. He scored 47 in the game from 64 balls at a strike rate of 73.43, in an innings where Pakistan team was chasing a target of nearly 5.70 runs an over.
