Joe Root Survives Scare Against Mohammed Siraj

Root came to bat when England were 126/2. Notably, on the fifth ball of the 34th over, Siraj bowled a brilliant ball that nipped back in and hit Root's pads. The umpire raised his finger, but the English batter quickly opted for a DRS.

The decision went in England's favour, and Root survived. The Indian fans were gutted to see the ball missing the leg stump. Further, captain Shubman Gill was elated and had already celebrated the dismissal.
