In a moment that stirred national pride, Captain Shubhanshu Shukla became the second Indian ever to journey into space, launching aboard the Axiom Space Ax-4 mission to the International Space Station (ISS). Rishabh Pant sent a special message for Shukla, calling his journey inspiration.

Born in 1985, a year after Rakesh Sharma's iconic 1984 flight, Shukla grew up inspired by the stars, and now, he’s among them. Taking off from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center aboard a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, Shukla’s mission marks India’s first trip to the ISS and its return to human spaceflight after 41 years.

After a series of seven launch delays, the Ax-4 finally roared into orbit, cheered on by Shukla’s emotional family from the sidelines. Now, the crew prepares to dock with the ISS, orbiting 400 km above Earth.

Meanwhile, Pant had a historic week as well in Leeds, England. In the first Test against England, he scored two centuries to have the most runs as a visiting wicket-keeper in England.

Pant Reprimanded For Showing Dissent To Umpire

India's vice-captain Rishabh Pant has been officially reprimanded by the ICC for breaching Level 1 of the Code of Conduct during the third day of the Headingley Test. The incident took place in the 61st over of England’s first innings, when Pant showed visible frustration after the umpires refused to change the match ball.

He threw the ball on the ground near the umpires, an act deemed dissent under Article 2.8. Pant has received an official reprimand and one demerit point, his first offence in 24 months, as confirmed by Match Referee Richie Richardson.
