Haris Rauf continues his dream start to the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 season, as he showed his class in the recently concluded clash between the San Francisco Unicorns and the Los Angeles Knight Riders. His dream ball brought Andre Russell down to his knees.

Why was Rauf pumped up after Russell's wicket?

The match was fiercely competitive and the Knight Riders were in the contest, chasing down a tricky 220 runs. The Knight Riders were always in the contest as they had the power of Russell-muscle in the middle order, however, San Francisco pacer, Haris Rauf had some other plans as he bowled a killer delivery and turned the match on its head.

In the 13th over, Rauf bowled a length ball outside the off as it nipped back in and crashed between the bat-pad gap to shatter the stumps. This brought the West Indian all-rounder down to his knees as Rauf was pumped up while celebrating the dismissal of the key opposition batter.

Rauf and his teammates knew that Russell was the key wicket and once he was dismissed, their road to victory got a lot easier.

Rauf's dream MLC 2025 continues

Just two matches have been played, but Haris Rauf looks all set to set to steal the spotlight in the tournament. In the first match of the competition against Washington Freedom, the Pakistan pacer was at his imperial best as he tore apart the opposition and scalped 3 for 30 to help his side win the opening match.

He then continued the fine work against Los Angeles, by not only dismissing Russell but also taking the wickets of Unmukt Chand, Matthew Tromp, and Shadley van Schalwyk to finish with figures of 4/41.

The pacer will next be seen in action when Unicorns will collide against MI New York on Monday.
