Chris Jordan, the replacement for the injured Jofra Archer is all set to make his Mumbai Indians debut against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Jofra, who was bought by MI for INR 8 crore, has travelled back to England for further rehabilitation on his injury. MI acted quickly and roped in his national teammate, Jordan, who has the experience of playing in IPL.

Toss update

Mumbai Indians won the toss and Rohit Sharma elected to bowl first on a belter of a track.

The Wankhede wicket is a batting paradise and Rohit Sharma had no hesitation when asked about his decision at the toss. Moreover, the five-time IPL champions have chased well this season, and will be confident of doing it once again.

Tilak Varma is still injured and will miss the game for the Mumbai Indians. Interestingly, the Rohit Sharma led side have gone in with two foreign pacers in Jordan and Jason Behrendorff to stop the opening duo of Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli.

Talking about RCB, they have made just a solitary change from their previous match. Vijaykumar Vyshak comes into the playing XI, at the expense of Karn Sharma.

Faf has stressed that the team needs to put up a solid batting performance, since they’ll be the one defending a total on this track.
