Rinku Singh has been the talk of the town in the IPL 2023. His five sixes in the final over against GT made him an household name and he has gone from strength to strength from thereon. His biggest quality has been his clean-hitting under pressure and he showed that again in the game against PBKS with a boundary on the final ball to win the game.
After the KKR-PBKS game at Eden Gardens, Rinku Singh had a candid chat with Zaheer Khan and Robin Uthappa for Jio Network. Rinku was asked plenty of questions in that chat about his mindset and the support he has got from KKR management.
However, the most fascinating question from that discussion was from Zaheer Khan. The former Indian pacer asked Rinku Singh about his preferred batting position and Rinku Singh was quick to reply that he wants to bat number 4. Rinku further added that he bats at number 4 in domestic cricket for UP and would love to bat at that position as well in IPL for KKR. He though felt that it is not possible in the KKR setup right now as there are plenty of other top order batters too.
Rinku Singh has an overage of almost 60 in the first-class cricket and has seven centuries as well. His List A record is also pretty good and he averages 53 in the 50-over format as well. So, Rinku Singh is showing his prowess across formats and don't be surprise, if he gets into the national selectors radar soon.
