A lot was expected of Shubman Gill in the Asia Cup 2025 match vs Oman, but the Indian vice-captain failed to deliver the goods and now has two successive failures in the marquee asian event. On a wicket that assisted the batters, Gill couldn’t get his rhythm right as his stumps went for a cartwheel and the bowler exposed his bat-pad gap weakness.

The batter was already under heavy criticism before the tournament as fans questioned his place in the side, and now his twin failures have raised the concerns yet again. He looked scratchy, right from ball one, and the Oman bowler got his line and length right to dismiss him.

With this dismissal, fans have once again raised their voice, and the batter was heavily trolled on social media for a mediocre outing.

Gill hailed "fraud" on social media

It seems as if the Indian fans were waiting for Shubman Gill to fail against the underdogs, Oman, and here are some of the tweets after he failed to deliver.
