Never ever doubt The King! In other words, don't you dare to write Virat Kohli off. The man who takes the center stage when it matters the most delivered yet again on Sunday when India and Pakistan met each other in an epic Champions Trophy clash in Dubai.
The 36-year-old, who was not at his best lately, smashed a spectacular hundred off 111 balls, which had seven glorious fours. In the process, India won the game with 45 balls to spare after coming to chase a challenging target of 222.

Kohli, who holds a spectacular record versus Pakistan, was expected to yield dividends in order to get back to his form. And the megastar did not disappoint his ardent fans, playing a scintillating knock which was laced with gorgeous shots. Fittingly, he hit the winning runs as well, smashing Khushdil Shah for an all-important boundary in order to get to the landmark.
It was Kohli's 51st ODI hundred, and it came in his 299th match in the 50-over format. Talking about other formats, he has 31 centuries in Tests and one in T20Is. Courtesy of his well-controlled innings, the Men in Blue, led by Rohit Sharma, did not have to face any challenges at all on a tricky Dubai pitch where Shubman Gill left shocked due to an excellent delivery off Abrar Ahmed.

Having won two in two matches, against Bangladesh and Pakistan respectively, India are at the top of Group A. Pakistan, on the other hand, are at the bottom, with two defeats in two games. New Zealand, who defeated the Men in Green, are second, while Bangladesh sit on third place.
