Riding on spinners' exceptional bowling performance, India bowled out West Indies for a paltry 114-run total in the ongoing first ODI at Kensington Oval in Barbados. Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scalped three wickets, while wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav emerged as the wrecker-in-chief with the ball for India, recording a spectacular four-wicket haul.

Yadav, who bamboozled the West Indies batters with the guile and accuracy, finished with magical figures of four for six in his three over spell, thus setting the record for the best ODI bowling figures by an Indian on Caribbean soil.

Best ODI bowling figures for India vs West Indies in the Caribbean

  • Kuldeep Yadav: 4/6
  • Yuzvendra Chahal: 4/17
  • Bhuvneshwar Kumar & Amit Mishra: 4/31
  • Mohammed Shami: 4/48
  • Noel David and Ashish Nehra: 3/21

Yadav began his assault on the hosts immediately after being introduced into the attack. After trapping Dominic Drakes plumb in front of the stumps, the wily craftsman removed Yannic Cariah and Shai Hope in quick succession.

If that wasn't enough, he hit the final nail on the Windies' coffin by dismissing Jayden Seales, as the hosts were bundled out for a meagre 114 in 23 overs.

In response, India are 14 for no loss, with Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill batting on 4* and 7*, respectively.
