Delhi Capitals promoted KL Rahul to the top of the order against Gujarat Titans, and the batter from Karnataka has not disappointed them one bit. He has smashed a century off 60 balls and got to his hundred with a superb boundary. It is his fifth century in IPL and he has gone past Shubman Gill, David Warner and Shane Watson who all have four centuries in the league.

The stylish batter eventually scored unbeaten 112 off 65 balls and hit 14 fours and four sixes in his knock. After this knock, only Chris Gayle, Jos Buttler and Virat Kohli are ahead in the number of centuries list in IPL. Virat Kohli is at the top with 8 hundreds while Jos Buttler and Chris Gayle have seven and six centuries respectively.

His knock against Gujarat Titans on Sunday night was a typical KL knock. He took some time to get going, but then played some glorious shots all over the ground to keep his team going. He batted against both spin and pace with ease, and in the process, also crossed the 8000-run mark in T20s.
KL also became the fifth batter to score a century in IPL 2025, but is the first right-hander to do so. This is an important game for Delhi Capitals with playoffs qualification getting intense, as a loss would put them in a tricky position on the points table. They would hope that their bowlers complete the good job started by KL Rahul, and grab two crucial points from the game.
