Kieron Pollard Wins The Toss And Puts The Falcons In To Bat

The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons are playing the Trinbago Knight Riders in the eighth match of the CPL 2024. The game will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua. 

The Antigua and Barbuda Falcons have played four games in the tournament so far and have lost all of them. They are hunting for their first points of the tournament and will be looking to get off the mark in this game. Currently, the Falcons sit at the bottom of the table and need to start climbing up the ladder if they want to stay alive in the tournament.

The Trinbago Knight Riders, on the other hand, made a brilliant start to their campaign. The Knight Riders managed to score a mammoth total of 250 runs in their first outing. In their bowling effort, the Knight Riders restricted the Patriots to 206 and won the game by 44 runs. Having played the least number of matches in the tournament, the Knight Riders are currently at the fourth spot in the points table. But they will try to make it to the top two with another convincing show in this game.

Kieron Pollard (Trinbago Knight Riders Captain): Since he wanted to bat first, I am going to let him (Chris Green) bat first. The ball will come onto the bat a bit better. Not sure about the dew. If we bowl well and bowl them out cheaply, it will be good for us. Had a good couple of days to train.

Chris Green (Antigua & Barbuda Falcons Captain): There are some different theories floating on the bus trip about how I toss the coin. I tell them it's 50-50. The team is closer than ever. Hopefully, when I get to call during the toss sometime around, I will get it right. We want to enjoy our time. Same Team. We spoke about expressing ourselves.
