In a significant development, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) speedster Mayank Yadav has been ruled out for the remainder of IPL 2024.

During the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Lucknow Super Giants clash at the iconic Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, LSG head coach Justin Langer confirmed that Mayank Yadav wouldn’t take further part in this year’s IPL.

The young pacer had been incredible since his debut in the ongoing IPL 2024, consistently clocking speeds of 155kph. However, he soon faced a couple of injuries and has been sidelined. Recently, he suffered a lower abdominal tear, which brought down the curtains on his IPL 2024 season.

LSG suffered another injury blow in their previous game as left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan landed awkwardly on his head while fielding and had to be substituted out of the match.

Meanwhile, LSG won the toss and opted to bat first against Pat Cummins & co. LSG brings in Quinton de Kock and Krishnappa Gowtham in place of  Arshin Kulkarni and injured Mohsin Khan

LSG is currently sitting at the 5th spot on the points table, and to secure a spot in the playoffs, they need to win all the remaining fixtures in this tournament.
